Data Masking
DbClone provides
advanced capability of selectively
Masking Data
at table column level, in situation where the Cloned database
has confidential or sensitive information, like social security
numbers, email, contact information or other personal
information which need to hidden from Application Developers or
Testers.
The selected columns in database table are over-written with a
entered "Data Mask" through few clicks on Java GUI console.
This operation
is performed by opening the database node in Clone, Refresh Tree and
drilling down to a table level. Right click on a table and selecting
"View or Mask Data" Menu will allow any column in the table to be
masked, provided there is no primary key on that column. Please note
that on completion of this operation, the masked Columns
cannot be restored to its
original state.
